This is a shameless rip-off of a Norman Rockwell painting with the same idea. Below, you can see the photo I took for reference, lightly edited in GIMP. I had to change the color of the socks and scale, because they were getting lost.
The painting is mirrored with respect to the reference photo because I painted using a comparator mirror.
